Upgrade System

In Guardians of Apion, players can acquire new characters or enhance their existing characters. To do this, they need a specific amount of card fragments and in-game currency. Card fragments can be obtained as rewards from end-of-game chests, quests, achievements, the battle pass, and other various sources. Players also have the option to purchase card fragments within the game.

Each Apion requires a certain amount of its own unique card fragments to be accumulated. For instance, to upgrade a Grand rarity X Apion, the player would need a total of 1500 X Apion Fragments. The cards of other Apions of the same rarity cannot be used for this purpose.

When characters are initially created in the game, they start at level 1 and can be upgraded twice, reaching a maximum of level 3. The resources required to obtain an Apion depend on the rarity level of that Apion.

The costs specified in this table indicate the required resources to obtain the 1st-level versions of Apions. However, to advance an Apion to the next level, you need to have three Apions from the lower level. In other words, three 1st-level Apions can be upgraded to one 2nd-level Apion, and three 2nd-level Apions can be upgraded to one 3rd-level Apion. During the upgrade process, the NFTs of three Apions are taken from the player and burned. In return, a higher-level NFT is provided to the player. Consequently, the card costs for players at different levels are as follows.

When a player enhances their card, the card's statistics undergo changes. These changes specifically affect the Apion's Health Value, Damage Value, and Ability Power, with an alteration rate ranging from 170% to 200%. Other statistics, such as Attack Speed and Resistance values, are not influenced by level upgrades.

On this table, you can see the gold cost of every card rarity and its level.
